Shipping policy

International

If you are shipping international (non USA based shipments), you are responsible for all Customs Duties, Import Taxes and Local HST tax.    Blood Run Fishing does not calculate nor pay for any fees or taxes associated with shipping goods internationally outside of what you may have already paid at the time of checkout.   You will likely be notified by your local carrier once your shipment arrives that you will need to pay any additional fees prior to receiving your shipment.   If you do not pay the associated fees and the product is returned to us, we will deduct the cost of shipping the goods to you, the penalty fees we incur by you refusing the shipment, and the shipment fees back to our warehouse from your country assessed to us by the Carrier.   The remaining amount after we are made whole for the shipments and fees that you rejected will be refunded from your original purchase cost.  There are no exceptions to this policy.

General Information

Blood Run Fishing always strives to box and ship your order as quickly as possible, and in most cases under 24 hours, but once it leaves our facility it is in the hands of the USPS.   

Unfortunately, we do not have any control over delays being experienced, other than to ask you, our customers, to please be patient during this time.    If your shipment is delayed, we cannot ship another complete order to you while the first shipment is still delayed.   If the shipment is for some reason eventually lost, we will re-ship your items or provide a refund, but that process does take some time...often longer than 30 days.   

If you are in immediate need of our products, we do strongly urge you to visit your local retailer to purchase our products to avoid these USPS shipping delays.

Damaged Shipments

We gladly accept returns of unused merchandise that has not been damaged during shipping.  If product is damaged during shipping, by mishandling of the shipping or postal carrier, it is your obligation to file a claim with the shipping service to receive an insurance claim.   USPS First Class Mail, either domestic or international, does not offer any kind of insurance.   USPS Priority Mail offers up to $50 worth of insurance. 

Address Not Deliverable

If an order is returned to us because the address of which was entered during the checkout process is not correct, or undeliverable by the by the USPS. we will hold the order until we are contacted with a correct address.   Do not abbreviate street names, numbers, cities or towns when entering your shipping information.

Lost Packages

If a product is lost by the USPS and does not reach your destination, Blood Run Fishing does not assume responsibility and will not re-ship an order that is lost by the Postal Carrier.   The process for filing a lost package claim by the USPS can be found here

Exchanges & Returns

We do not exchange or accept returns of products that have been spooled up on reels, bent, twisted, hand tested, soaked, wetted, or used in any way.   If you have an issue with the performance of our lines and experience a line break, you are welcome to ship your reel to us with the line in place as it was during the break so we can examine the line for any possible manufacturing defects.   If manufacturing defects were found, rather than just that from normal wear, we will re-spool your reel and ship it back to you.

Returns or exchanges are accepted for un-used products only. Products, including fishing line, fishing hooks, fishing swivels or fishing rods may not be "hand tested" for breaking strength and then returned. Any "hand testing" of products constitutes "usage" which will not be eligible for a return or refund of any kind. No exceptions.

If you feel that a product may be defective by visual inspection only, you may file a return claim and ship the product to us at your cost, and we will inspect/test the product for defects. If the product is deemed defective by our product testing team, a full refund or replacement will be granted.   

If a product is returned that is visually believed to be defective, and the product is tested by our product team and determined to NOT be defective, the product will be returned to the buyer at the buyers expense. No exceptions.

Blood Run Fishing reserves the right to cancel any order up to the time the order physically leaves the warehouse for shipping, for any reason. 

Shipping Times

Order processing typically takes 24 hours but can be longer during peak times.   Shipping times are based upon the selected carrier transit times.    We understand the need for our products during peak seasons, and we will do our very best to get your product out the door as quickly as possible.   If possible, please try to place orders Sunday evening or Monday mornings to allow for delivery times by the end of the week.

Standard shipping is selectable for either USPS First Class Mail or USPS Priority Mail to USA based customers.  These services are generally 1-2 days in the Midwest from the actual ship date which is in many cases is same day, but can take up to two days from time of order for processing (not including weekends).  

USPS First Class Mail does not have insurance, and at times, may route to other cities before arriving at your location.   

Shipping options to international (non USA addresses) are via DHL.   Shipment times are determined by the Carrier.   Our handling processing times are the same for all domestic orders which is 24 hours or less.  If the shipment is lost or held at customs, all charges, fees and losses are not the responsibility of Blood Run Fishing.

All Free Shipping promotions are via USPS Mail to lower 48 states only.
